Season 4, Episode 1: The Freshman

Buffy joins the U.C. Sunnydale, but she is feeling lost and confused in the new environment. Along her first night in the university, she meets Eddie (Pedro Balmaceda), another freshman in the same situation, and they schedule to meet each other in classroom on the next morning. However, Eddie is attacked by a gang of vampires leaded by Sunday (Katharine Towne), and the group leaves a message at his room as if he had not bore studying in Sunnydale. When Buffy sees that Eddie has vanished without his very precious and favorite book, she decides to chase the vampires. Later she realizes that she cannot face the vampires alone and asks for help to Rupert Giles, Xander Harris, Willow Rosenberg and Oz.
Season 4, Episode 2: Living Conditions

Buffy has frictions with her roommate, the selfish Kathy Newman (Dagney Kerr), who has opposite tastes and costumes, and has also nightmares with weird monsters. When Buffy sees that the fingernails of Kathy restores every morning, she tells to Giles and her friends that Kathy might be a monster, but they do not believe on her.
Season 4, Episode 3: The Harsh Light of Day

Buffy has a crush on Parker Abrams (Adam Kaufman) and makes love with him. Meanwhile, Spike (James Marsters) returns to Sunnydale with a former classmate of Buffy and presently his girlfriend, Harmony Kendall (Mercedes McNab), trying to find a powerful stone in an underground chamber. Anya (Emma Caufield) also returns wanting to have *** with Xander. On the next morning, the relationships are broken and Spike faces Buffy in the light of the day.
Season 4, Episode 4: Fear, Itself

To help Buffy get over the pain of having been used by Parker, the gang heads to a Halloween party at a frat house, expecting a few cheap scares and a bit of harmless fun. Unfortunately, some accidental magic turns the party into a house of horrors where everyone's fears come to life.
Season 4, Episode 5: Beer Bad

Still trying to come to terms with Parker's womanizing, Buffy starts to hang out at the college bar where she and a group of upper-class students drown their troubles in an excess of beer. It soon becomes apparent that the local brew really brings out the wild side of the Slayer.

Just as Buffy discovers increased werewolf activity on campus, Oz escapes from his cage during a full moon and runs across another werewolf, the sultry, ***y singer Veruca, and wakes up next to her naked in the wilderness the next morning.
Season 4, Episode 7: The Initiative

Spike is captured by the paramilitary commando in the campus, but escapes from a hi-tech facility unable to bite or fight against humans. Meanwhile, Riley Finn (Marc Blucas) finds that he likes Buffy, but is incapable of establishing a dialog with her.

In the Thanksgiving Eve, during the ceremony of the beginning of a construction of a Cultural Center at UC Sunnydale, Xander digs a hole and falls into an ancient mission, releasing the revengeful spirit of the Chumash Indians warrior Hus (Tod Thawley). Meanwhile Angel is advised by a friend that Buffy is in danger, and he comes to Sunnydale to protect her. Buffy is decided to have a Thanksgiving dinner with her closest friends, Willow and Xander at Giles's home. Surprisingly Spike comes to the place asking for help, while Hus attacks the group.
Season 4, Episode 9: Something Blue

While deeply missing Oz, Willow decides to put a spell on herself to make stronger and prevail her will. She believes the spell failed, and while talking to Giles, she mentions that he can not see anything. She tells Xander that Buffy and Spike could get married to each other, and that Xander would be a magnet of demons. When her wishes come true, Buffy, Giles, Xander and Spike get in real trouble.

The entire town of Sunnydale goes silent when a group of strange creatures called The Gentlemen appear and steal everyone's voices. As chaos erupts in Sunnydale, Buffy and gang must solve the mystery and overcome the bad guys without being able to use words.
Season 4, Episode 11: Doomed

Now that Riley knows that Buffy is the Slayer, and she knows that he is one of the mysterious commandos, they are having a hard time redefining their relationship. Meanwhile, to distract Giles from focusing on the commandos, Buffy tries to convince him that the recent earthquake might be a prophecy of doom and should be investigated. Then, when a new group of demons shows up in town stealing items of a mystical nature, it appears that she may be right after all.
Season 4, Episode 12: A New Man

Ethan Rayne invites Giles for a couple of drinks and puts a spell on him, transforming Giles in a primitive strong monster. Spike is the only one to understand the language spoken by the monster, and Buffy almost kills him.
Season 4, Episode 13: The I in Team

When Riley tells the Initiative about Buffy, they invite her to join their ranks. But it soon becomes apparent that her independent attitude and need to question orders may not be what the Initiative is looking for.
Season 4, Episode 14: Goodbye Iowa

After the death of Professor Maggie Walsh, Buffy and Riley do not trust each other and The Initiative blames Buffy. The ultimate warrior Adam, designed with parts of the Polgara demon, escapes from the facility and kills a boy. Willow and Tara Maclay unsuccessfully try to summon the goodness of darkness Thespia to locate the Polgara. When Riley gets sick, Buffy decides to return to the facility with Xander to disclose the secret of room 314. But the invincible Adam is waiting for them.
Season 4, Episode 15: This Year's Girl

Faith wakes up from a long and deep coma having nightmares with Buffy. She goes to Sunnydale looking for revenge. Meanwhile, Riley leaves the facility and meets Buffy. While trying to find Adam, Buffy, Xander and Willow find a demon dissected by him in the woods. Faith arrests Joyce, and Buffy fights with Faith to save her mother.
Season 4, Episode 16: Who Are You?
Original Air Date: 29 February 2000
Faith and Buffy switch bodies, and Buffy, trapped in Faith's body, is kept in police custody. However, in the way to the precinct, the retrieval team of the Watchers' Council provokes an accident with an armored truck and captures her from the police car. Faith uses to freedom of Buffy's body to enjoy life, flirting with many guys in the Bronze and buying a ticket to overseas. When Willow introduces Tara to Buffy, she feels an evil aura in her soul. Willow and Tara decides to make a dangerous astral projection to the Nether Realm that exists beyond the physical world to find the truth. Adam trains three vampires against fear, and they kidnap and threaten churchgoers of a church. Faith listens to the news in the airport and goes to the church, where Buffy, Riley and the Scooby group are facing the monsters.
Season 4, Episode 17: Superstar

When the fantastic Jonathan visits Sunnydale U.C., everybody wants to be with him: the inventor of Internet; lead actor of "The Matrix"; awesome vampire hunter; stunning singer; great author of successful best-sellers; amazing lover. Meanwhile, a weird and powerful long-armed demon also comes to Sunnydale, marked with an unusual signal. When Buffy sees the same signal on Jonathan's shoulder, she feels that something is not right in the reality.
Season 4, Episode 18: Where the Wild Things Are

In a party in Lowell House, ***uality is in the air. Buffy and Riley make love all the time, while Willow, Tara, Xander, Anya and Spike observe the weird behavior of the youngsters and the presence of ghosts. They meet Giles, and they find the origin of the poltergeists in the place.
Season 4, Episode 19: New Moon Rising

In the full moon, Oz returns to Sunnydale and spends the night with Willow telling that he was healed of the wolf thing in Tibet, using meditation, drinking some teas and using some charms. Willow has no courage to tell him her relationship with Tara. When Oz finds that Tara and Willow are in love, he becomes upset, loses control and transforms in a werewolf, being captured by the Initiative. Riley tries to help him, but is arrested. Meanwhile, Spike closes an agreement with Adam, and guides the Scooby group to the Initiative to release Oz and Riley.
Season 4, Episode 20: The Yoko Factor

Spike has been chosen by Adam to be discord sower among Scoobies, in exchange for eliminating his chip. He almost succeeds: Buffy about her loneliness, Willow about her homo***uality, Xander about his ineptitude and Giles about his age crisis...
Season 4, Episode 21: Primeval
Original Air Date: 16 May 2000
When Buffy sees Spike in Adam's cave, she realizes that Spike is intriguing the Scooby gang to destroy their friendship following Adam's instructions. She meets Willow, Xander and Giles and they apologize to each other. They also realize that the monsters were not captured by the Initiative, but actually they are the Trojan Horse of Adam to fight against the commando from inside. Once Buffy alone is not able to defeat Adam, the Scooby gang decides to transfer the best of each one of them, i.e., the witch power of Willow, the strength of Xander and the expertise of Giles, to Buffy through witchcraft to make her powerful and capable of fighting against Adam. Meanwhile, Riley finds that he has a chip over his heart and connected to his central nervous system to modify his behavior and obey Adam.
Season 4, Episode 22: Restless

Bufy, Willow, Xander and Giles decide to spend the night watching videos at Joyce's home. They fall asleep and they all share a nightmare with the first slayer.
